Heat Fatigue May Not Be Real

A study was done with cyclists, I won't go into the not-so-comfortable details, to determine if heat fatigue is all in our heads. The cyclists performed better at a cooler temperature. When they were deceived into thinking it was cooler then it actually was, they performed much better then the cooler temperature. So, what is the moral of the story?? Lie to yourself about the temperature, and you will be fine.

End-of-day Geek Candy: Grace One Electric Bicycle

If you have ever seen an electric bicycle, they are not the most desirable looking out there. Usually they are more functional, then aesthetic. Now something different has come out with the Grace One electric bicycle. This is a VERY cool looking mountain bike, which is able to reach speeds of 30mph, with a range of 31 miles.

What is the problem, you might be asking? It is priced at $6,000. Still, it is VERY tempting.

There have been numerous times where I have been out on the road, and had an issue that I needed to fix. Sooner or later you end up figuring it out. Why not grab your smartphone and find out how to fix the issue faster, and correctly. 58 problems are explained with 42 step-by-step guides, utilizing 170 photos.

Bike Helmet With Built-In Turn Signals

As an avid bike rider, I feel the pain of being on the road and people not "seeing" me. What's worse is when I see someone who is on the road and is not wearing a helmet. Something to aid in the visibility the Blink Bike Helmet is a way to incorporate turn signals into your riding. Though, this is only a concept, I can see a valid use for this. For safety purposes, I'm not sure the idea of take your hands off of the handlebars to touch the side of your head works. Why not use an accelerometer that knows when you turn your head.
